Why Practice Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra also known as yogic sleep, is a powerful meditation accessible to all. It is a systematic guided technique that takes the practitioner through the layers of the self, allowing for a sense of wholeness, mind, body, spirit.
Benefits of Yoga Nidra Meditation:
Promotes deep rest and relaxation.

Calms the nervous system

Cultivates heart opening and a sense of limitless.
How to practice:
Wait at least 2 after eating to begin.
Find a quiet place where you can be on vacation, away from distractions. Turn off cell phones and watches.
The practitioner lies on a comfortable surface not the bed, or on sitting position with the spine straight.
Props can be used, such as rolled up blanket under the neck, bolster under the knees, eye pillows or equivalent.
Resolve to stay alert.
Follow the voice that is guiding. As the practice procedes, may not remember the guidance in its entirety, but the unconscious mind will absorb.
Each experience could be different, the more you practice the more profound the effects can be.
